Lodi is a wonderful place to raise your family. You’ll feel right at home in our tight-knit community. In addition to the Stadium 12 Movie Theatre in Downtown Lodi, there are quite a few family-friendly venues to entertain any child.

Hutchins Street Square

Hutchins Street Square is a historic building located in Downtown Lodi that hosts numerous art, music, and specialty courses. Enroll your family today or attend a variety of music events.

Ginger Bugs

This kid-centric play space offers young children a clean, fun, and safe experience. Ginger Bugs is filled with interactive games and play spaces including a ball pit, soft play area for toddlers, and a play structure that is chemical-free & splinter-free. Monthly memberships are available.

World of Wonders Museum

An educational, hands on science museum located right here in Downtown Lodi. Open since 2008, there are now over 70 hands-on science exhibits to stimulate and inspire interest in STEM fields.

Micke Grove Zoo

Micke Grove Zoo is located a few miles south of Lodi off Armstrong Road. Experience the wonders of Micke Grove by taking an educational course or behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo, and support the foundation by attending any of their numerous events.

Cycling

Between the year-round Mediterranean climate and never-ending, scenic country roads, Lodi is an ideal destination for avid recreational cyclists. All bike routes can be found at VisitLodi.

Lodi also has been a host of the Amgen Tour of California and is home to Bike Lodi, a coalition of bike enthusiasts working to promote bicycle tourism in the Lodi region. You can follow them on their Facebook page.

Spa & Relaxation

There is a myriad of spa and relaxation options in Lodi. One of the most renowned, however, is Wine & Roses Hotel and Spa. This resort is nestled in its own oasis of mature trees, beautiful landscaping, and has 66 unique rooms available for reservation. In addition to their award-winning spa, they offer fine dining, an event center, and a café & market.

Parks & Nature

Lodi has 6 parks including the beautiful Lodi Lake. Lodi Lake boasts a 58-acre nature area and walking path, Mokelumne River boat tours, picnic rentals, a playground, and more.

Take a kayak class with Headwaters Kayak, jog the Nature Area, or enjoy the annual Fourth of July fireworks all at Lodi Lake.

Seasonal Activities

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi, The Parade of Lights is a longstanding tradition of the community. Marching bands, dance groups, and over 80 decorated floats are paraded through Downtown to kick-off each holiday season.
